Communicating the Therapeutic Value of Role Playing Games

About this Training

Table-top role-playing games, like Dungeons & Dragons, can be powerful agents of change for children and adults alike. Further, TTRPGS can be intentionally leveraged within treatment settings to facilitate the acquisition and development of specific skills. Interventions utilizing RPGs can be particularly helpful in the development of social skills, personal insight, frustration tolerance, and perspective taking. However, this treatment can be novel and mysterious to some. The purpose of this webinar is to teach viewers how to effectively communicate the benefits of leveraging TTRPGs within treatment to clients, parents, and other mental health professionals and administrators. This training is designed for clinicians who are competent to utilize TTRPG therapy in their practice and are looking to improve their ability to impart this the rationale and benefits of such treatment to others. This training is also appropriate for those who are interested in learning more about the therapeutic value of applied TTRPG within treatment in general.
