“This is The Way: Using ‘The Mandalorian’ in a Therapeutic Setting

About this Training

Since its launch in 2019, “The Mandalorian” has quickly become one of the most watched series in the country and continues to receive critical acclaim. Presented in a “Space-Western” fashion and introducing all-new main characters allows for “The Mandalorian” to appeal to die-hard fans and Star-Wars newbies alike. Throughout the show, we see the main character rely on interpersonal skills, demonstrate cultural awareness, hold to personal values, and challenge schemas formed from trauma. In this training, we will explore “The Mandalorian” and its role in the greater Star Wars universe, “The Way” and the importance of adhering to our personal values, how introverts like the main character benefit from collaboration with others, the importance of understanding and respecting the cultures of others, and how the main character is able to challenge his own personal prejudices formed in trauma.
